MaximusPro Privacy Policy (‘Privacy Policy’)

This Policy is intended to govern the terms on which KPIT Technologies Limited with its registered office at 35&36, Rajiv Gandhi Infotech Park, Phase-I, MIDC, Hinjawadi, Pune – 411057 (“KPIT”, “we”, “us”, or “our”), may collect, use, or disclose user data received in connection with the use of the MaximusPro by individuals (“users”, “you”, or “your”) KPIT respects your privacy. We will only collect data that is useful for improving KPIT products, services and your experience. We will be transparent about our data practices and will explain them in clear language.

We will never sell your data, and will only share personally identifiable data or personal data only when you direct us to or as permitted under the terms of this Privacy Policy. Your data is important to us and we will take utmost security of your data.

This Privacy Policy applies to our service ‘MaximusPro’ (“Service”), location data shared by the GPS Device (“Device”), our product or product related service website(s) located at www.maximuspro.com (individually the “Website”, or “Site” and collectively “Sites”), the MaximusPro software (“Software”) and mobile applications for iPhone OS and Android OS (each an “App” and together the “Apps”). The Service, Sites, Software and Apps are collectively referred to in this Privacy Policy as the “MaximusPro Service”.

Since our endeavour is to help you enhance your motorcycle riding and touring experience, this Privacy Policy may undergo changes from time to time. In case there is a substantial modification or change to this policy, we will send you an email where possible, and always provide notice on the Site and in the App.

What Data Does MaximusPro Collect?


When activating the Service, you will be asked to download the App or install Software and login to the service using your social media login such as Facebook. We use this information to provide personalized recommendations about upcoming rides and also to help you post your motorcycle riding achievements on the social media platform, if you wish to. Nothing is posted on any social media platform without your specific consent. Your contact number will be asked for only to confirm your identity and to send you important alerts and notifications such as battery alerts, motorcycle theft alerts etc.


It is necessary for you to create a MaximusPro account in case you want to register and activate the Service as well as access data collected by your Device from the MaximusPro App. When you create a MaximusPro account, we ask for some personal information, including your email address and contact number. You even have an option to create your MaximusPro account using a different credential like your Facebook account. If you choose to do so, we will ask permission to access basic information from that account, like your name, profile picture, and friend list. You can stop sharing that information with us at any time by removing KPIT’s access to that account. We will access your phone’s contact list for the purpose of letting you identify contacts who are MaximusPro users. We do not store your phone’s contact list, and it is deleted immediately after it is used for this purpose.


Customization of your MaximusPro experience can be done by adding other types of information to your account, such as the make and model of your motorcycle, date of purchase, personalizing your profile with your photos or sending messages to your MaximusPro friends. Whenever you add this type of data, we collect it and store it with your other account information.


MaximusPro collects some data from everyone who visits our website— even if you don’t have a MaximusPro account. Whenever you visit a Site, we collect industry standard log data that records information about your visit, such as your browser type, operating system, the URL of the page that referred you, the different actions you performed, and the IP address from the pages you visited. We use this type of information to provide you with information that’s relevant to your location and to make sure the Site is working properly. We also collect data from cookies. When you start using your Device, the data about the location, speed of your motorcycle while riding, battery voltage of the motorcycle is transferred from your device to our servers. This data is stored and used to provide the Service. Along with the location, the device also sends data about maximum speed, internal and motorcycle battery, any harsh acceleration or braking and motorcycle ignition status etc. This data is further used to provide services such as creating ride log, theft alerts, battery alerts etc.


Whenever you contact us for help, we may collect your name and email address along with any requisite additional information that you provide in your request and store such information on our servers. This data is used to provide you with customer service and to improve the Service. In case you contact us, when you are already logged in to your account, the web form automatically pre-fills in certain information, so you don’t have to type it manually. You can also contact KPIT through public forums such as Twitter or Facebook. However, in such cases we cannot maintain the privacy of your communication to us since it’s beyond our controls.


To help you create memorable rides, MaximusPro lets you invite friends to a ride who are already MaximusPro users or invite friends who have not yet joined. You can invite friends in several ways, such as by sharing invitation link through email, by sharing invitation through SMS or other messaging apps such as WhatsApp, or from the contact list on your phone. When you share your friends’ contact information with us to invite them for a ride, we will only use it for this purpose. We do not store your phone’s contact list, and the same is deleted immediately after it is used for this purpose.


To help you share your location with your friends or family while you are on a ride, MaximusPro lets you choose friends or family with whom you want to share your location. You can choose friends or family members from the contact list on your phone. When you add friends’ or family members’ contact information with us to share your location, we will only use it for this purpose. We do not store your phone’s contact list, and the same is deleted immediately after it is used for this purpose.


Location features such as mapping, are only available once you login to the account and start a ride. Location features such as tracking by family or friends are available only after activated and you can turn it OFF whenever you want. Location services such as tracking your motorcycle to detect theft are active once you activate your account. When the Service is activated, the Device collects data like GPS signals, device sensors, and location information to determine your specific location. The Service stores this information along with your other account information in order to provide you with location features. If you are using a mapping feature, we will send your location information to our mapping service provider so they can display your location on a map. However, this location information is shared in a completely anonymous manner. Our mapping service providers are contractually prevented from receiving any user data that can identify a specific user and also sharing or using this data for any other purpose. You can deactivate tracking features at any time and KPIT will stop sharing this type of information.


Some services offered by KPIT may be offered to you on a chargeable basis. Payments may be required either on a one-time or subscription basis. In order to process payments you may make to us, we may be required to collect information relating to your payment methods, and instruments including your credit/debit card details, bank account information, and other details. We may also use the services of a third party payment system provider or aggregator in order to process payments on our behalf. Where such a third party’s services are used, the processing of your information will be as per the terms of that party’s Privacy Policy and Terms. Please make sure to thoroughly read these documents prior to providing your details.

Unless you instruct us otherwise, or to comply with a regulatory or law enforcement related requirement, we will not store your complete payment information longer than necessary to process your payment, share, or disclose the same. For invoicing, tax, and other regulatory purposes, we may be required to maintain records containing limited personal information relating to payments. These will continue to be governed by the terms of this Policy.

How We Use Your Data:

Your data is used to provide you with the best experience possible, to help you make the most of your motorcycle rides, and to improve and protect MaximusPro Service. Some typical examples are:

What Data May be Shared with Third Parties?

We do not sell any data that could identify you. We only share data about you when it is necessary to provide our Services, when the data is anonymized and aggregated, or when you direct us to share it.


Personally Identifiable Information (PII) is data that includes a personal identifier like your name, email or address, or data that could reasonably be linked back to you. We will only share PII data under the following circumstances:


KPIT may share or sell aggregated, anonymized data that does not identify you with partners and the public in a variety of ways, such as by providing recommendations about unique rides or trip routes or to provide you recommendations about upcoming trips or rides. When we provide this information, we take legal and technical measures to ensure that the data does not identify you and cannot be associated back to you.


You can direct us to share data with other parties. For example, you might authorize us to link your MaximusPro account with a third-party app; send status updates to your Facebook or Twitter account; or direct us to share data with other riders using the MaximusPro Service. Once you direct us to share your data with a third party, that data is governed by the third-party’s privacy policy. You can revoke your consent to share with the third party at any time in your MaximusPro account settings.


The privacy settings on MaximusPro accounts are set to reveal minimal data about you with the purpose of getting you active and involved with MaximusPro. To see what is visible to others, use the Profile settings. You can adjust your privacy settings through the profile menu or option or web page.


MaximusPro provides many ways for you to share data with other MaximusPro users, such as with the Leaderboard, public rides or by posting comments to the MaximusPro community message boards. When you interact with others in these ways, you will be displaying your data based upon the visibility settings in your User Account privacy settings. Always check specific policies associated with any Challenge to understand what data will be visible to other participants.


MaximusPro may offer opportunities to participate in organized rides, contests, giveaways and other promotions. Any data you submit in connection with these activities will be treated in accordance with this Privacy Policy, unless the rules for those offers notes otherwise.


MaximusPro may also ask you to participate in surveys that help us understand your use of our products and services. Any PII you provide in these surveys will only be used in relation to that survey and as stated in this Policy.

How Long We Save Your Data

We store your PII for as long as you remain a MaximusPro customer. In addition, we may also store your data for up to six months after you request deactivation of your account. Please note that we may also preserve your PII if the same is required in relation to any dispute, or regulatory requirement.

How to Edit or Modify Data

Any data that you provide through the Site or the App can be modified from your dashboard or preferences. This does not include the location data provided by the Device. If you remove data from your User Account, it will no longer appear to you or others who use the Service. The Personally Identifiable Information stored in the backups will be deleted from the archives after six months of your deactivation of your account.

How to Deactivate Your MaximusPro Account

You can deactivate your MaximusPro account by contacting Customer Support http://maximuspro.com/customer/support/. When you do, data that can identify you will be removed from the Service, including but not limited to your email, name, photo(s), friends list and links to sites such as Facebook and Twitter. Backup copies of this data will be removed from our server based upon an automated schedule, which means it may persist in our archive for a short period. KPIT may continue to use your anonymized data.

Can I opt-out Of Receiving Emails?

You can opt-out of receiving weekly summaries, achievement notifications and promotional emails by changing the notification preferences in your account settings or by unsubscribing via the “Unsubscribe” link in any relevant email. Opting-out of these emails will not end transmission of important service-related emails that are necessary to your account maintenance.

How is My Data Kept Safe?

MaximusPro uses a combination of technical and administrative security controls to maintain the security of your data. Your data is stored on secure infrastructure provided by Google Cloud. The infrastructure is annually audited for compliane to different relevant security standards such as ISO27001, ISO 27017, ISO 27018, PCI DSS v3.2, SOC1, SOC2, SOC3 and more. Who Collects and Retains my Data?

How Does KPIT Handle Data From International Visitors?

The Services are hosted in India and are subject to Indian law. We may share your personal information internally with our affiliates and other recipients, as described in this Privacy Policy, and they may be located in countries other than your country. If you are accessing the Services from outside India, please be advised that Indian law and other countries may not offer the same privacy protections as the law of your jurisdiction.


MaximusPro may use cookies on the Services. Cookies are packets of information sent by the Website's servers to your web browser and then sent back by the browser each time it accesses the Website's servers.

Service may use cookies for various purposes, such as to save you the need to re-enter your username and password each time you log-in, to facilitate the use of the Website, to collect statistical information, to verify information, and to customize the Website to your personal preferences and for information security purposes.

Some of the cookies may expire when the session ends and you exit your browser. Other cookies are saved on your computer's hard drive.
